Join Friends of the Library

Friends of the Library is a nonprofit advocacy organization which supports the Library. Our volunteer members advocate, educate, and raise funds on behalf of the Library, its patrons, and the community.
The Friends of the Fort Dodge Public Library is an association of persons who focus attention on the library, stimulate the use of the library's resources and services, encourage gifts to the library, support and cooperate with the library in developing services for the community, and support the freedom to read.

The Friends have provided all funding for Children's Programming and Young Adult Programming for over a decade. The Friends have funded all purchases of magazines, and newspapers since July 1, 2004. In addition, the Friends purchased the Self-Check Unit, VendPrint, and the computer management software, SAM.
